Dear Pet Guardian,

Thank you for your interest in the Pet Vet Hospital and Wellness Center. Our mission is to, “Add years to your pet’s life and life to your pet’s years”.   We are, on occasion, questioned about our fees by individuals who have never been in our practice before.   Our wellness examination is $48.00. Sick or injured pets may be charged a more extensive examination fee based on the severity of the condition.  Fees for any other treatment(s) will be outlined in a written treatment plan based on the specific health concerns and individual needs of your pet.   It is impossible to come up with an accurate diagnosis and correct treatment plan without an examination.  For instance, an owner may want the price of a canine neuter without realizing that their dog is cryptorchid (retained testicle) or has deciduous (baby) teeth that should be removed at the same time.  We believe that to give cost estimates on a pet without an examination and without knowledge of your pet(s) condition would be unethical and may compromise the level of care your pet deserves.  Not only is it unethical but it is illegal to prescribe for an animal that hasn’t been physically examined.

Our existing clients understand that we always review treatment plans with them prior to providing health services as to empower them in the health care decision process.  The extent of care given to any animal is ultimately determined by its owner. Dr. Clark can only make our clients aware of the medical options that are available. Then, Dr. Clark can recommend and guide owners in their choices regarding the most important health care options for their pets. The final decision and choices rest with the owner. Dr. Clark is willing to and does go the extra mile for pet owners, but owners should be prepared that Dr. Clark’s primary concern is to speak for the needs of the pet.

We are sensitive to the investment individuals make in their pet’s health.  Therefore we offer several options that may be helpful. Care Credit is a program that allows our approved clients 90 days to pay without any interest fees or billing charges. We also submit insurance claims, free of charge, for any pet that has coverage.  We have plans to keep healthy pet’s healthy and minimize larger expenses whenever possible. We will be happy to explain our, “two times for life” program to you.
